Lanzarote. Island of volcanos. Biosphere Reserve. Sanctuary of solid lava and the spirit of César Manrique, a sculptor, painter and architect who found a way to blend the artificial with nature. And bestowed Lanzarote with a new landscape. Art, respect for ecology and tourist appeal… an auspicious marriage that could only be conceived by a great connoisseur of Lanzarote’s astonishing attributes. Our Spring/Summer Collection was photographed at four of the island’s emblematic enclaves: Jameos del Agua, Mirador del Río, Jardín de Cactus and Casa Museo del Campesino. We got to see how the artist worked with light, black and white, texture and dimension. His sculptural wind toys delighted us. Still and all, extending beyond the imprint of Manrique is Lanzarote, the jewel carved out of black lava and Atlantic blue. In this sublime setting, our collection sparkled on cue and coalesced in the most unexpected moments.
